HELP! Fatal Exception on my Edge
Hi All-
I just got done installing some software and rebuilding my edge since it was recently whiped out.
I can hotsync correctly, however, when the edge is turned off, and then I hit the hotsync button on the cradle, it says:
FATAL ALERT
Fatal Exception
That's all the info it gives on the error message!
I do *NOT* have any hacks installed.
Only software I have is: AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, Stowaway drivers, Acrobat Reader, Big Clock, Blazer, Filez, Diddlebug, Gridlock, Minehunt, PalmVNC, Monkeylogo, SuperUtility, SolFree, and the standard embedded software.
Does anyone have any suggestions? So far it only happens when the unit is turned off, then turned on when the cradle hotsync button is pressed.
Thanks in advance

I just tested even more. If I let it idle for 5 min, and let GridLock kick in- it will not crash.
When i hit the hotsync button grid lock will turn on, and not crash.
However, when i immediately turn it off manually, then hit the hs button, it will display that message!!!
What gives?

Another update-
A soft reset does fix this problem, thankfully, however it is extremely annoying and not a workaround.
I did also re-install gridlock, no change.

Mod's -
can someone move this into the "general visor chat" forum... it's more relevant to that then the edge specific...
It'll also get more views, and hopefully replies!
thanks

edit: accidentally clicked post when I havent finished yet
I think you should backup your Backup folder first, then delete the prc or pdb file of whatever you just installed.
Then try hotsyncing your Edge again...
Or else, you could do System Bypass (softreset + hold UP hardbutton) and get through, and try deleting whatever you installed... or whatever you think is causing the problem.
