Avantgo Again
I have tried to sync. and today i'm getting a connection timed out error, any suggestions? I checked auto detect for the server and it is also unable to find it?

This sometimes happens to me. There is a little known easter egg though, that will help you out. If you go to the HotSync Screen, hold both the up and down buttons, and tap the upper right corner of the screen, you should get a message saying "DL Server Wait Forever is ON" or something like that (I can't remember exactly what it says). If you do this, it will end the time-out problem for one sync, letting you get your AvantGo.
It works great for me and AvantGo...in fact, I got this egg from AvantGo when I approached them with the same problem.

Thank you so much for the information, I did get the easter egg message but i'm still getting "AG closed the connection to this page because it was idle for too long" 
Ah...that message. I don't have a reply for that one, since occasionally, it happens on some of my channels. When that happens, the next Sync usually fixes it.

Actually, I've had this problem all morning (half a dozen syncs) with all my channels and I believe there may be something you can do about it. Go into AvantGo Connect on either the Palm or the PC and select Settings (on the handheld) or Properties (on the PC). Then check 'Refresh all content' and resync. It seemed to work for me but could be just a coincidence.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone. 
My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing. 
Hmm...seems like a lot of people had this problem this morning. Maybe AvantGo was updating software?

Thank you everyone for your help, I tried all suggestions and one of them worked. I don't know which one or if it was just timing but I was finally able to sync.
