Okay. I have a touchpoint cellphone from SprintPCS. Over the holidays, relatives gave me one of those web connection kits as a gift! I think they spent too much on it, but I'm not complaining.

Here's the problem: It has a connector for the phone on one end and a 9 pin serial connector on the other. The instructions for the kit say to attach it to a palm pilot synch cable, which also has a serial connector, and then to the palm device.

You've probably guessed the problem. I have a USB cradle.

Now, I'd break down and buy the serial cradle, but my understanding is that the pinouts on the visor are different then those on the palmpilot. Does it matter? Has anyone tried it? It would be nice to know before waiting who knows how long for Handspring to ship me one (I'm still waiting for a pack of stupid styli I ordered a month ago).

Anyone out there, please enlighten me! I'd rather not wait on the phone with tech support.
