-- Prism Microphone (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12046)
So, my Prism has a microphone I just recently found out. Are there any apps that actualy use it?
Well,
There's the VisorPhone...

Stupid me...I broke a golden rule...not doing a search before adding my post. Sorry about that folks. I found quite a few posts about the mic!
DOH!
Are there any programs that DON'T require a Springboard but still use the microphone?

No,
The microphone is only wired to the springboard connector, it has no other electrical connections to any other part of the Visor (in all models, Solo, Deluxe, Prism)..
good question...

I am sure HS had the VisorPhone and similar modules in mind while designing the Visor (ie holding the Visor like a cell phone). A microphone in the springboard would work in that case.

Marcus, you probably meant to say "a microphone in the Springboard WOULDN'T work in that case", didn't you?
Yeah, a mic built into the front bottom of the Visor would work better in the case of the VisorPhone than if it were on the top back part where the Springboard is

Is there any way of knowing if the mic on the Visor works without having to buy a module that requires the mic? I would hate to find out after the warranty expires and I buy a module like the visorphone that the mic never worked.
