My VDX, Foresaken

I have finally made arrangements to give up (or rather hand off) my VDX. I recently closed on an (allegedly) pristine condition Visor Platinum on eBay. I will be handing off my VDX (ice) off to my wife who has been a PDA skeptic, but seems to be slowly coming around.

I look forward to being able to use my $30 Gomadic cable to access my Verizon email and web account (a VDX or any Palm 3.1 device cannot access the Verizon web services system). The cable, plus the $125 for the VPL seem to very closely approximate the functionality of the Treo for a fraction of the cost. And when I upgrade my cell phone to the new 144kbps service, my VPL will go along for the ride too....no new PDA related costs. Yeah, I have to lug the cable with me, but so what? I can leave it in the ashtray of my car.

One problem. I seem to have lost the snap-in Springboard cover for my VDX. Is there a place I can order a replacement?

OmniThis

She hates my OmniRemote and my ever-present smugness when I beat her to the draw.

Call up Handspring. They should send you a replacement Springboard Cover, free of charge (I think)...
