Hey! I discovered a great use for my Visor. I sing in the San Diego Master Chorale and we are performing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the SD Symphony. Well, as you know, the chorus doesn't sing until the fourth movement. Last night at dress rehearsal I played Free Cell through movements one through three -- to the great envy of the singers around me! Wonder if I can get away with that on stage tonight during performance? Well, probably not a good idea! Maybe I could velcro the Visor to the inside of my black folder? No, definitely not a good idea! Oh well....

I sing in the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and often have to sit through long orchestral passages before the chorus comes in. I think you have a great idea. I'll take my GVDX to the next concert.

BTW we have completed all four performances, and it went really well -- lots of bellowing forte in German! And I did take my Visor on stage in my folder, but never did use it actually during a performance because I ended up in the first row and I thought it might look bad! But I sure thought about it!

If your Visor bleeps during a soft moment in the chorale, the vengence of the chorale director will be swift and terrible...

Beethoven could never be "boring" -- but after you've heard it every night for about a week (including rehearsals), it does get somewhat less immediately interesting. Besides I can play Freecell and still listen!
Moreover, from the front row of the chorus, I definitely get it from the perspective of the bass viols and the trombones! But since they tend to be playing the same part as us second altos, I don't mind. This symphony had seven bass viols -- I can't recall that many in other things we've done. Sounded great -- especially when they first come in with the main hymn to joy theme -- goose bumps!
