Now,I prepared just only Japanese explanation.
Please look just only Picture & Movie(left link of 72kb).
If anyone require me,
I may make the English explanation in near future.

It's possible to open and close cover by just only
one (left)hand.
It's easy to make.

Materials :
small stainless hinge
3M VHB tape for plastic

Pretty cool

Nice page and nice cover. What kind of tape did you use? I'd like to see the instructions in English whenever you can do that. Thanks,

Thank you for respond .

The tape is maybe 3M(Scotch) brand double coated acrylic form tape (VHB).
Please look the next site.

http://www.3M.com/bonding/html/vhb.html

There are so many kind of VHB tape,
I think plastic application type is maybe OK.
This tape is sold for consumer's DYI use in Japan.

I'd like to make the English explanation in near future.
Please just wait.

Removing

Is there any sticky residue if I decide to remove the hinge? If so, what's the best way to get rid of this residue? Thanks

Question Pink Strap

How did you attach the pink strap? I think Handspring should have put a lanyard stud in the case for this like a Gameboy has.

Exclamation Found it!

I found the page where you attached the strap. I should have looked around first. I was scared off by the Japanese writing I guess. How come all the cool hardware mods are being done in Japan?

I was thinking that the speaker volume could be increased by drilling a hole near the speaker but I opened the case and couldn't find it!

Maybe someone can figure this out.

There is not sticky residue of Scotch VHB tape
when peel that. But adhesion is prety storong, but I can remove.

I'm developing the easy removable type just like
Palm V cover now.
It's little difficult to develop.

Thanks. Asahi.

Re: Found it! More cool site

The maniac people of remodelling the palm are increasing in
Japan now.

A Japanease word 'KAIZO' means remodelling.
Japanease most famous 'KAIZO' king's site is
Palm de COOL! as follows.

If you don't know this site, please go and have a fun.
English contents are included partly in this site.

Thanks. Asahi.
