Hey guys!
I just got my very first PDA (Orange VDx) today, and I'd like to share some of my thoughts I had.
First, I'd like to thank all of you for those input...I did a lot of homework from this site. So I think my start was fairly smooth. ;-)
I also worried about scraching on the screen, so I went to local BestBuy to get WriteRIGHT. And as some have mentioned, every single piece in my first package had white line, so I exchange it. I kinda learned that this is a kind of product you should buy locally...like me, I could exchange it on the same day, and start using it before I turn on my baby for the first time. On ConceptKitchen site, it still say "for Palm III series/HandSpring Visor" and I didn't think they don't have one exclusively for Visor...yet. But the one I bought (for Palm III...I imagine CK will ship the same thing anyway) is still great. Small gap on the edge and darker image is bearly noticable, and even though it seems to me it reflects more lights, depending on the environment, but boy, I feel so much secure with it. Difficulty of sticking it on the screen? It was so much easier than putting Univ. sticker on my rear window.
Personally I thought the default styli was okay. I thought it was better than Palm Pro's. But the opetional 5-pack stylus are awesome: It consists of 3 parts, and if you take the top off, it's got (+) screw driver. If you take the pen tip, it's got a pin (yes!) so you don't have to carry a paper clip around all the time. It's definitely buy, guys. :-)
I can't wait for the next semester...so I can show this baby off to everyone!!
I just wish that ConceptKitchen would learn how to package their product better.
I bought a pack at Best buy and they all had that white line simply because it pressed up against the cardboard for so long in its holder. I exchanged it and opened it right in front of the CSR and just got my money back after they had the same problem.
Found some at Staples in the DVD case but they were in a regular damn DVD case with the spot to hold the disc in. They were smashed up against that as well, distorting them slightly. I managed to make it smooth with careful application, but if I pay so much for these I shouldn't have to put up with it. Get a crappy little plastic case, throw them in there, and you'll never have "frost" lines or distortions again.
