Pentopia rocks!
I just got the pentopia chamelion stylus/pen from my wife for xmas! (pretty bold of her to risk getting me something visor-related... but she did well...
)
springloaded stylus, long reset pin made out of metal (resets and cleans out my fingernails!), good pen, cap sits on the stylus as you write, slides nicely into the silo and stays there, refillable... perfect!!
get one!

I just purchased two of them last week. One for my CLIE and one for my Dad's.
I absolutely love mine. I agree completely, except for the fingernail part. Have not tried that yet...

I have had one for about 6 months and absolutely love it. I am always leaving pens here and there and never have one when I need one. I do not do this with my Visor so now I always have a pen available in my Visor!
The spring loaded tip is really nice as well. I found that my Graffiti recognition improved substantially using the Pentopia.

Cant wait to rip mine open tonight (Family gifts are open on X-mas EVE). I'm always forgetting to bring a pen to school but never forget my Visor. So i figure if i have my visor i'll be all set. J/W Where do you get the refill ink for the pen? Bestbuy had refills but they were an eraser, lead, and ink combo.

The pen takes Pilot refill ink cartridges. The package lists the part number for the compatible refill cartridges (I kept the package when I got mine for that reason). I imagine that you should be able to find them anywhere you can find Pilot refill ink cartridges, though I have not had the need to look yet.

Yeah, I should probably do that but:
1) I have had the misfortune of messing both my Visor and my computer up. Electronic records are great but paper has saved my butt on a number of occasions.
2) My wife has resold a myriad of items on eBay and if you have the original packaging, they go for more!
3) You never know when you will find a rebate that requires a UPC code or something like that.
For those of you who have thrown the package away without recording the refill number on your Visor
, the number is a Pilot RF8 refill.
Merry Christmas everyone!

I've been using the Chameleon for a few months now and like it so much I bought a half a dozen to give out to my PDA-enabled friends for Christmas. My only druther is that I wish they used gel ink instead of regular ball point, but that's just a nitpick since I only use the pen end when I'm somewhere where I don't otherwise have a regular pen with me.

Will it fit in your NEW TREO?

Here is another vote for the Pentopia.
This seems to lead into a nice question-
If you were goingot package the 'Perfect Palm PDA Bundle', what would it be?
Mine would be:
1.) Pentopia Chameleon replacement-style stylus
2.) Brando screen protectors
3.) Concept Kitchen's 'Kharma Kloth'
4.) Generic 'electronics cleaning towellettes' (I have not found a brand that I think makes a big enough difference to recommend specifically- have you?)
5.) Battery 'rescue' system appropriate for the model. 2-3 sets of NiMH batteries and a charger for alkaline battery users, for example.

FWIW -
I purchased a Sanford 'PhD Multi' at Wal-Mart for about $8.00.
Oversized with cushy grip, pen, pencil and stylus all in one. Seems to work nicely so far and the refills are pretty standard as far as I can tell.
For those of us that like a 'cheaper' alternative

great product, but refills?
I've been using the chameleon for several months and really like it as well. My only complaint has been finding refills. I've tried a few similar cartridges, but none seem to fit right.
