Question

How do I repair a scratch on the screen???

I unfortunately have a small scratch on my screen about 3/4" long but not very deep.

Can anyone suggest any solutions to getting rid of it/repairing it?? I heard that a dabble of car wax and buffing it out might work, just like how you can repair a scratched CD like that.

Thanks

- Turtlewax (chrome)
All your scratches will be gone. It fills up and smoothens out.

Question

Have you tried this with the Turtle wax? I've got a couple of scratches too but, I sure don't want to mess up my screen....

Thumbs up

Another option you might want to consider is ordering a replacement visor, then use backup buddy to transfer your data over. The CS rep. I talked to said that the visor is warrentied against screen scratches, and I had other problems, so I ordered one. I think it came today, but the fedex guy left a note saying nobody was home (mabee it wasn't the visor, but timing seemes right, 8 days. Unfortunatly, the fedex guy doesn't come again until monday ) Anyway, you keep your visor until the new one comes, so you have nothing to loose!

let us know if it works...

Also, are you using wax for car chrome? I assume that is what you are implying.

You call Handspring and they send you a new screen or Visor. When I scratched they had it to me next day. When I cracked they had a new unit to me in 4 days.

I have a little scratch to on my display. The worst part...it's were you write graffiti. So everytime I write something I can feel the scratch. It happenned because of the CHEAP ASS stylus that comes with the Visor...
But it's too late.. HandSpring will replace it? I bought it about 3 months ago???

Thanks

Angry

I got a new Visor because the old one had many scratches on it due to the stylus that came with it. I returned it for a new Visor. I even got a custom Visor stylus from PDA Panache to make sure that this wouldn't happen again. However, within 2 weeks, the screen already has numerous marks on it! Can you send in the Visor for repairs more than once?
