Cell phone IRDa adapter
Anyone know if there are such devices that would allow a PDA to beam a phone number to the cell phone, and maybe even intiate the dialing process?
The adapter, of course, would plug into the cell phone to give it IRDa capability(for phones NOT IRDa ready).
Is this possible, feasible, available?
Thanks in advance.

Ericsson IR adapter
I have this adapter for my Ericsson T28, however I have not been able to get online with my m505. Also, I can't transfer phone numbers to my T28 from my m505. The only thing I actually can get it to do is accept text messages I've written on my Palm and synchronize my phonebook, ringtones, etc. with my computer via IR.
Generally Not
The only thing that you can do is check the accessories that are available for your specific phone. In the cell phone industry, proprietary software and hardware rule, making it difficult for third-party developers to produce innovative accessories.
My Qualcomm phone doesn't have Ir, and there is no Ir add-on available. And even if there were I wouldn't count on it being able to access the dial-up routine, etc., because its software innards aren't open source or standard.
