I'm trying to find a case for my Visor that fits some certain specifications:

Nylon or neoprene preferred
White, orange, or black
Stores 2-5 Springboard modules
Has place for pen stylus
Held by snap cover from Visor, not velcro

So far, I'm probably going to get the RhinoPac 1100, but I'm not sure if it has a pen slot.

Your idea of the Rhinopack 1100 is probably the best one I can see. I'm in the same boat, looking for a case that can simply hold a Visor and an eyemodule. I'm not even thinking of styli and batteries.

I think Visor cases will have to be much more flexible in the future -- moving beyond the form-fitting cases of the Palm era -- because of the many previewed oversized Springboards. Look at the eyemodule, the GPS's, the MiniJam as examples -- they're all much larger than, say, the flush Innopak 2/V or the Handspring backup module. And I don't think too many users will want to have more than one case. (Imagine carrying a bunch of Springboards in your pocket like loose change -- don't think so...) The challenge is exactly how bulky to make it -- small enough to still be a "PDA case," but large enough to allow for extra storage of oversized Springboards. Any developers need another project?

I'm real interested in the responses you get, so I hope you don't mind if I check in on occasion.

Oh, no, I don't mind. It's a public forum.

Probably the only Springboard modules I would need is the backup module, the MiniJam, and a network-type adapter (for Ethernet), so I can use the Internet on my Visor when I'm at home. I might get a wireless modem.

I think the RhinoSkin 1xxx-series cases might be a tight fit if you plan on storing more than two flush-fitting Springboards with the Visor. If one of the Springboards isn't flush-fitting, it looks like that'll be it for 1xxx-series (I know the 1000 didn't have a slot for the stylus-- I just stuck mine in the interior webbing-- that might have changed with the 1100).

The 2xxx-series RhinoSkins would certainly handle multiple large Springboards along with the Visor, stylus, batteries with ample room for a sync cable. But it is larger and roomer than the 1xxx-series and may be too big for your tastes.

Interesting response. I've been doing a lot of research on this, and I THINK the RhinoPak 2000 is the one I'm going to get. But, because it does not apparently fit in a jacket pocket, I'm not going to throw away my HS slim case. I guess a situational approach will have to work.

NOTE TO CASE DESIGNERS: Don't overlook this discussion! As more and more Springboards are released, this is going to be a more pressing issue for Visor owners. Make cases that meet our needs!

I use the RhinoPack 2000 as a "Gadget bag," to carry the Stowaway, the 2v and Handspring Modem Springboards, and spare batteries, pens, and a phone cable. I use a Rhodiana to carry the Visor and usually the 8 meg flash module.

The 2000 is particularly nice because it'll clip onto the outside of my camera case and rolling carryon luggage so I can quickly write email to friends while I'm travelling.

One problem: The RhinoPak 2xxx is too expensive. I need something sub-$30.00.

Incipio's case is another possibility.
