USB Hard drive & backup
I bought a USB 20G hard drive for backup and overflow MP3 purposes a while back. I have been able to add MP3's to it a few at a time and have backed up by Memplug CF. I created a directory called backuppics on the USB drive and went to my C: drive and pulled the My Pictures directory down onto the task bar and dropped it onto the USB drive to serve asa a backup. The computer starts the backup process and hangs up - every time, should I be using a different program for this, get a new computer, or get on with my life? Thanks for the help.

One File at a Time, Sweet Jesus
Try moving the files either one at a time, or in very small batches until you can isolate the individual file that is causing the problem. I suspect that one file is either horrifically corrupted, or contains a virus.
