Who bought the Start Wars E1 DVD?

Who bought the Start Wars E1 DVD?
I just did, the local K-mart had it for AUD33,46 which is about US$ 17
Pretty good price to me

I was amazed the release date was the same worldwide.
I guess after waiting so long they figured it would not make a difference any way...

/raises hand

I have spent two nights watching as much as I can, and I still haven't seen everything.

I would like to see the rest of the Pod Racer vs. Sandcrawler race, though.

Is that the Kmarts right next to the McDonalds across the street from the Starbucks?

The world sure is getting small.

We rented it last night. the movie of course is not so great, but the documentrys kick ass. They have another lap of the pd race, and more delted scences, and a full 1 hour, best makign of amovie I have ever seen documentry.. Worth renting at least..

suppsedly there are problems iwht it and macs though!

Went to Best Buy and got if for $18. Spent the first nite browsing around and found a possible easter egg. If you go to the "deleted scenes only" menu on the second disc, use the down arrow on your remote or keyboard to go to the second choice and then hit the right arrow. There selection should chnage to a rectangle just to the right of the second choice. Push it and you get a commentary on the deleted full lineup of the podrace segment.

Pretty awesome features. I am impressed that they thought of something like exclusive webpages available only for DVD owners.

I think the best part is the surround sound. My system never sounded so cool!

There are actually two of them, but I can't remember which ones. They are together, so if you say the second one, it's either first and second or second and third screens. I want to say second and third, but without it in front of me, I can't say exactly.

It is very scary how close you are...
The K-mart is in a mall, across the exit is a McD (and a Subway btw) and around the corner is a startbucks...

Do you guys have Target too? and Grace Brothers?

At least I'm sure you don't have Dick Smith...I hope..

I know a Richard Smith; does that count?

"Start Wars"? Is it a documentary about the Bush family?
(uh-oh, I'm gonna get it for that one.)

Meesa not did. err, did not. Money's too tight right now; I already have the video, and the next twenty bucks I have extra is going for a big vinyl & plush Popeye doll.

I didn't buy it either. If they release the original three on DVD, I might get it, but until Lucas gets off his duff and does that, the prequel can sit on the shelves AFAIC.

Both your DVD player and stereo/receiver/amplifier need to be Dolby 5.1 capable first of all. Second, you'd need the 6 speakers required (left+center+right in front, left+right rear surrounds, and sub-woofer). Ultimately, the chances are that if you don't know, you probably don't have it.
