Question

I know there is DiddleEX to access Diddle images on Windows. Is there ANY way to get my DiddleBug images onto my Macintosh?

Thanks for any advice.

Question

As I'm hitting this same wall I thought I'd reactivate this thread.
Does anyone know of any way to get Diddle images onto the Mac?
I've looked elsewhere; all I've found is a Perl script that doesn't work for me (it might if I knew anything about Perl, but I don't, and am uninterested in learning at this time) and a couple of Windows programs.

okay, I didn't find anything to use on the mac.
I also had a lot of trouble finding something to work on the PC (I have access to one).
This is all that worked for me:

BugBMP

it's a DOS program through which you can extract one picture at a time from any of the Diddle PDB's.
It's been very annoying and I'm looking at other drawing-pad options. I'm disappointed -- I really like Diddle, but if I have to go through a rigamarole to get my pictures its value is diminished.

Have you tried the notepad application on the M100, it includes a Macintosh application for reading the images. You would need to beam the application (and two supporing files, all creator code of "npad") from your M100 to your Visor using a Palm app which sees ROM files (ZCatalog).

well, I'd kinda need access to an M100, which I don't. Thanks tho.

Unhappy woe are us

Alas, poor Yorick, there must be a way!

Is it posible for someone with an m100 to upload the PRC files? And how would Palm files help us with a Mac client, anyway?

There is a Mac app (Notepad) and a Mac conduit.

wait, so it works through the Mac Notepad app?

I have two Palm apps suggested by bblue, GrayPaint and TealPaint. I've not actually used them yet (no time to draw lately).
grayPaint appears to not have any conduit or data extracter available.
TealPaint provides a couple of Mac programs on its webpage to extract the images, and the common Mac shareware program GraphicConverter is able to read the format as well.
Graphic converter does not like Diddle's format though, and attempts to convert the format failed (this was something I treid before BugBMP).

Perhaps I'm thick but, huh?

What conduit? How is this helpful to someone with Diddlebug?

kepstein's talking about the M100 atlernative. That has a Mac conduit. It's only helpful if you're thinking about alternatives.

as I said, I like diddle but I'd like an easier way.

Now, if there's a programmer who wants to figure out a Mac-based extraction program like BugBMP or DiddleEx, which I couldn't get to work due to a lack of VisualBasic on the PC I could use, or perhaps an update to "DidCon" which has expired and is useless.
