Yep. Time for Apple users to carry around a 1' section of crossover cable with their laptop.

They seem to have pulled out the stops. I could wish for a faster bus speed.

To be honest, I never understood what the IR port was for.

I suppose with Blue Tooth now, Apple will be migrating that way...

I'm no mac lover, but remember that the G4 processor runs on a 128bit bus.

To compare, an Intel Pentium4 runs on a 32bit bus.

The G4 can process approximately 4 times as much data per clock cycle than a Pentium 4.

I think the Tibook is fast i just tried the new 800mhz one and its a zippy 5lbs graphic demon

But i think i am going to wait for the a new iBook or or upgrade on the one they gotz now cause i think the 12in screen will be alittle more tote-able around town...

rumor has it that it should be here by July and it should have a 16mb radeon.

Smile all things Apple

I set up the new iMac and an airport network this past Sunday. Oh the joy! I mean this system rocks!

To those who have the money to get a tiBook: will you adopt me?

In response to the general topic: I, too, would like an iBook because of the portability factor. I currently am down to only one usable portable, my blueberry iBook which is a fantastic computer and which is still showing no signs of aging (I'm using system X exclusively on it and, with the exception of 3 kernal traps for which I have no explanation but which I got out of in a snap I've had no troubles. Propably user error...) But with all the features of the iBook factored in with it's portability, it's hard to resist.
