-- How much have you spent on your Visor? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=13156)

Unhappy ok ok, hang on

Ok, Before I get anymore personal Threats via E-Mail from people who have said I'm some rich, snobby, wise-ass teenager who doesn't know the first thing about money and should have everything taken away from me, and put in a mental hospital, killed, shot in the street, crucified etc.. Let me clarify this a bit. This thread is about how much you've spent and I was posting how much I've Spent. Now that isn't how much I have currently invested in it. No WAY! I have about 1305.00 TOTAL invested in it currently. I have sold approx 1100 worth of it and the rest were birthday/Christmas gifts which is why the majority are new products (B-day is in October). From over a three year span (Most of the SW/Styli/screen protection was purchased before the visor came out) Also I don't have my IIIc/VII anymore.

And to the people who said I don't know anything about the worth of money, and should get a job, I do. I have two jobs and don't spend a lot of time playing. I have about 2 hours where I'm not either, in school, working, doing homework, doing chores or volunteering at the SPCA (The Pound) So please, Don't E-Mail me saying I'm some rich, teenage jerk kid who sits around all day doing nothing but spending money on anything I want. Thats not me. Thank you.

VisorGuy2: isn't it funny that the "american dream" is to have a lot of toys, but as soon as you have something cooler than what someone else has, you are evil and wasteful? Ya gotta love double standards...

I say, more power to ya! You worked for the money, you can spend it however you like; and to top it all off, it is good for the economy!! (as long as you aren't deficit spending, which you said you weren't)

Cool I don't know and don't care

Knowing exactly how much I spent would take away from the fun and usefulness.
I only get stuff I use on a day to day basis. Mostly software.
Figure I'm probably close to $200.

Red face

I just purchased my VDX Ice last week for $160.00 plus tax from Staples.com (You have to buy the visor at $199.98, then add an item like a box of pens for less than $1 to get your total up over $200 and they have a coupon for $40 off a $200 dollar purchase and free shipping) I thought I was gonna get by cheap. Now I come to this board and see how much I'm probably gonna spend on all the gadgets that go with it! (I know I'm going to do it, I just know it!) Oh well, I hope I find plenty more internet coupons so that I can save my way to the poor house!

Geez,

Apparently, I'm not the only one who should have voted after giving this much more thought.

I voted at $550 but then saw a post with pocket quicken, Oh yeah, I have that, then saw a post with travel sync cable, Yeah, that too. The modem, I got on sale at Comdex, so it doesn't count, right?
Oh, and you mean EACH visor! Ok, that adds the Vdx.
Books count too?.....extra warranty....tax.....shipping?

Soon, you'll tell me to add in my cost of the hours spent on this and other visor related sites.

I really wish I hadn't seen this thread. I hope my wife NEVER sees this post. Here goes:

Visor Platinum $300
Serial cradle for work $30
HS Backup module $40
ThinModem Plus $150
Dongle for ThinModem Plus $5
Documents-to-Go $40
MultiMail Pro $40
SilverScreen $20
Backup Buddy $30 - a must have
HS bifold leather case $25
Pentopia Chameleon stylus/pen $15 - really like this stylus
WriteRights $25

Total $720

Also untold numbers of batteries.

And to think, I have only had my PLAT since December 2000! I guess that I will console myself by saying it is still cheaper than a laptop.

I managed to go several months with only an additional $52 spent on my visor (see first post). Now I am up to $430... and it is taking all of the willpower I possess not to upgrade!
