I imagine it would reduce the market price of some of the land-line modem springboards, one of which is probably my next Visor purchase.

I'd be disappointed if Handspring didn't release an RIM-style wireless module along with/instead of a new wireless Visor. But if the service pricing is anything close to RIM's ($39.95/mo. for just email; another $9.95 for web access), I'll stick to accessing the net on my Prism via Sprint PCS.

Question 2MB is not enough!?

I bought a Palm III in April 99. I have to say it is a real trick jugling memory. I tried Quicksheet and other programs for "power users" but along with my Palm Reader book I consistently have less than 25% of my memory available. When I had a largre book in there this spring I was at ~5%. I would never have less than 8MB. My wife can't even fill her Edge's memory.

If you don't want to get a new Palm OS device to replace the III, try here:

Sorry guys, it looks like there won't be any new Handheld announcements from Handspring at this year's PC Expo according to Handspring's spokesman Brian Jaquet in a CNN article. In that vein, although Handspring is not planning to announce any new products at the show, the company will be showing off applications for the company's recently released devices, with a focus on corporate applications.

Sorry guys,

From the wording, I don't think a product announcement is out of the question. There just isn't one planned from what the reporter knows.

You only need to post something once. We'll read it, don't worry.

I believe this is due to the lack of knowledge on the part of the salesperson, and the fact that she/he is only interested in making that ONE sale, rather than keep the client comming back.
As a sales representative myself I can assure you that all the Visors I have sold are being used to do things such as work with databases, synchronize web pages and, surely, play chess on the offtime. These users are not powerusers, but they realize that a gadget that expensive must do more than be a simply electronic agenda.

Same thing happened to computers at first. You only have to show the client what and how he can achieve more.
