I Bought a box of the energizer Titanium batteries early last month after putting in my last set of Duracell Ultra's. I am now at 9 days, with 20 hours power on time, and still sitting at 90% bettery power even with leaving my 8MB Flash module in all the time. I don't know how anybody else is doing with these batteries, but I'm sold for life!

Amazing! I use Radio Shack Rechargable NiMH batteries, and I get a max of about 15 days (max recorded 22) and 14 hours of active use.

I just finished a set of Duracell Ultras and I got about 8 hours of run time in about 2 weeks (measured with FPSUtility 4). Note that when I ran the Visor DRAM test it said I had a problem but when I upgraded to 3.1H3, it didn't have the M suffix.

I'm also on my first set of E2's. So far, only 3 days total but 6 hours of runtime (via, er, Runtime). Still pegged at 100% life. I suspect the voltaqe indicator doesn't quite fit the alkaline characteristics of these batteries. We shall see.

Has anyone else noticed that the e2 case is noticably longer than a regular alkaline? Makes me wonder how much of the extra juice is just due to a bigger package . . . Has someone cut one open, and compared it to the insides of a duracell?

I put in new Energizer e2 titanium Alkalines into my Visor Deluxe. I've had them in there for 5 days, 9 hours, 48 minutes. During that time my visor has been running for 8 hours, 19 minutes. After 8 hours, 19 minutes of runtime, my energizer e2's are at 2.60 volts, or 78% according to the battery level hack. Doesn't seem to be quite as good as some other people's experience... and I don't even have any Springboard modules. I'm not running any battery draining hacks like HackMaster. The only thing I can think of is that I do use the backlight occasionally, every few days for about 10 minutes.

My usage patterna are pretty lite. Mainly e-books and action-names for contact/calander/memo management. Very few games and such with graphics that cause drain issues, and I never use the back-light (I have electricity everywhere I use my Visor), and the stay-off hack is the only one I have installed. I have noticed a pretty sudden drop off of power now though. I'm now at 21:28 after 10 days, 30 minutes since battery change and am down to 2.53v or 68% of power. Still amazing compared to other batteries I've tried though.

just a little experience for ya... i tried the e3 batteries and got HORRIBLE use out of them... here's the story. just to note i use the battery meter hack.

went to best buy and picked them up. installed them into my visor on a saturday, percentage read 100%. on sunday morning, the percentage read at 23%! the amazing thing is that it stayed at about this range for about four days before i took them out so my data just didn't disappear. what a fluke i thought. installed another pair or e2s. the first day read at 100%. second day at 23%. third day they were pretty much dead. maybe the battery hack is reading wrong, but the meter on the battery themselves barely "lit up" at all. put in my usual pair of energizer niMH's, fully charged. my visor showed an immediate battery change warning the next morning. that was a waste of money for the e2s but...

to note... i installed the OS update, the one without the dram fix and i kept my new flash module in the visor. maybe that's why the batteries drained out. that's what i thought until other people have posted different. i really don't know what could have sucked out the juice. could the amount of used memory contribute to batter drain? i filled up the flash module pretty full. anyway...

i didn't remove the patch, but i did remove the flash module and put back the plastic stub (which was pretty disappointing to me). now my regular pair of niMHs are running like they're supposed to. as soon as these niMHs run out, i'll replace them with the e2s, and see how they really work. i sincerely hope they do.

That sounds like a major Visor problem. See if the same thing happens on other batteries. If it does, you may want to call customer support.

I can't imagine how you guys can have longer battery life... I used my first set of e2's and it lasted as long as the panasonic betteries that came along with the replacement. Mine clocked at 17h10m while the industrial alkaline by panasonic lasted 17h04min..... I hotsync at least once a day, I play games on my visor... usually solar Wars, a text based game... that's about it. I still get the same runtime,I already had three replacements all tested negative with the DRAM problem. I still have to break the 18 hour barrier! Something must be wrong.

So far, so good...

Using RUNTIME, this is what I normally get (actual runtime/time on):

• regular Duracell ~ 18-20 hours
  
• Duracell Ultras ~ 21-24 hours
  
• Energizer e2 ~ 26.5 hours (1d 02:27) I have only one battery change on the e2's, so I don't know if this is going to be normal for me.

I really think that battery life is very subjective. It all depends on how you use your visor, how many times you turn it on, and what programs you use. To try to decide what battery to use and which battery is the best is really hard to do. I'm sure that the new Energizer batteries are probably better than a Walgreens brand, but the cost of the name brand might make the cheap battery a better deal.

If you look in the radio shack mag. you will see lithium batteries that you can use for your camera, radio, cd player etc. you might want to check those out. I think they are made to run on the same volt. as regular batteries.

I'm still on my first set of e2's. I put them in mid August, and their still on 90%. Now this is not normal usage for me because I've been on vacation, but that's still incredible. Unfourtunally I don't have Runtime installed yet, but I'll report on my next set of e2's (When I get to them ).
