Not necessarily. Actually CLIE have clone of 3.5.2. I think that we need to have MemPlug or CF implementation of VFS API from 4.0...

The Clie provides an implementation of Palm's Virtual File System (VFS) manager (the same API that apps use to access the SD card on the m50x) that works with their MemoryStick library.

Applications written to use VFS will work with both the Clie, the m50x, and the HandEra 330 (when released). We are in the process of adding VFS support to the FlashAdapter software so that in the not too distant future, those same apps will (hopefully) be able to work the CF adapters as well.
