I see really bad sit-coms repeatedly having people asking other people (Judges, Doctors, etc.) to 'turn them on!".
I'm sure someone would find a way to hack it.
PS whatever happened to CrocHunter? Did he even know what this would turn into?
PPS what a thread to hit my 300th post on....

Ugh! A buncha stuff here, I'm sure I'll forget some.
Maybe during the fraternal grandmother's time it was easier than today to raise a child at 16, maybe they were more educated then (didn't they learn Latin & calculus in high school back then, etc?); maybe not. Perhaps she was just a shining individual. But to make laws / broad policy its prob. more wise to do a statistical sampling.
I repeat, when I refer to "jail," it's a MUCH more idealized ver. than we have currently.
"Who will watch the watchers?" We, on the Web, to ensure they are doing their jobs properly in real time -- and if not, we can go right down there and put them in their own jail cells.
I think 40 is about the accepted age at which birth defects begin to seriously become a factor in pregnancies (but I'm not 100% certain).
Yeah, I forgot to reference the "father figure" syndrome.
It's not your ignorance. I don't think it's presently law ANYwhere to prevent ANYone from having sex AS YOUNG AS THEY LIKE -- that's the prob! Even on the talk shows where the try to "shame" the 13-yr. old "couple" into "admitting they made a mistake" having kids so young ... there never seems to be any legal consequence! It's just: "Okay, man -- that was a good show; good luck to you two raising them kids w/no education and no jobs."
Once more, tho, I'd RATHER NOT have society "put to the test" of whether or not kids should be jailed for having kids -- in the old days, the family, the clergy, the neighborhood, etc. was enough influence. But now, "in the era of no shame" (I think that's tomorrow's "Jerry Springer" topic, actually) it's "go ahead and do it."
Maybe 6 mo. of jail time would be more appropriate.

Hey, re that lock-&-key on the scrotum thing (er, to paraphrase)...
... maybe, instead, we could just cut all the men's scrotum's off, and place all the sperm in a World Universal Sperm Bank, and just make kids that way, or clone 'em, or something...
...because, then, men would STILL have plenty to live for! Who needs beautiful women to look at and lust after to inspire 'em, anyway -- that's been one of God's dumbest ideas yet, if you look at it from a certain angle, and....

Hey, some old Joe Jackson song lyrics just occurred to me:
God, if you're up there
Listen to my prayer
In Future Man please have a different design
Give him a switch
So he can turn off his libido, yeah
Give him a tranquilizer built into his mind
Can't remem. the name of the tune -- anybody?
Like "Pretty Girls," or something. Maybe from the "Look Sharp" album / cd / collection.
I bet the rest of the song has relevance to this thread, too, but I can't remem. any more of the lyrics....

hehehe!
Yeah, neons ARE ugly... but the ads are so cool!
------
Going onto the "chop off dem nuts" bit, what if we implied the technology futurama sugguested: using robots????
"Billy, let's play a nice game of baseball"
"No thanks, I'd rather make out with my Marilyn Monorobot!"
"Billy, maybe you could come over to my house, and later we could make out!"
"No thanks, that's a long way to walk just for making out! I can just stay here with my Marilyn Monrobot!"
With all the Sperm deposited, every month we turn the robots in to empty em out. Then it's taken to feed starving children and/or given to women who decide it's time to have another child.
Ah... the possibilities!!!

I agree that it's interesting that you have to have a license to drive a car but not to have a baby. I know several people that should never have had kids, but whaddya do?
I wish that states included some form of family classes before people could get their marriage license. That wouldn't cover teen/unmarried pregnancies, but it's a start.

I've done this joke before, but it's still prob. my fave:
Dennis Miller on V.R.:
"The day we can get Claudia Schiffer (I swear he used her name in the joke -- it's not just because I enjoy typing it so!) into virtual reality, it will make crack cocaine look like Sanka de-caf coffee."
(But Marilyn Monroe will do!)

Well...
I'm not sure...
How much do you think Mr. Hawkins pays her?
2 In a row!!! SWISH!

I think D.D. was recently cited as being a billionaire. So it'd have to be for the love, not the money.
Do you have to get someone's consent in the V.R. world? Maybe a V.R. D.D. could equal (or surpass!) a V.R. Claudia Schiffer.

WOW!
If she's a billionare, Jeff Hawkins is sleeping with her more than I thought!
!!!!
Oh well, I guess it would be simply a fake her. They would probably replace the parts of Donna Dubinsky they can't get to with say... Janet Reno??
They would also have to rename it. Say: Deanna Dobynzki ??
3 in a ROW!!!
