-- Springboard developer's springboard (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=5007)
I've got a couple of ideas I'd like to experiement with on a springboard.
So.... how about a nice experiementer's springboard for doing wire-based testing?
One that offers the pin-outs with clamps for patching a wire into, so I don't have to solder it to the springboard.
First- I am not an expert. I just play one on the web.
With that caveat...
Did a web search for PCMCIA board prototype, and came up w/ a few possibilities
http://www.kaitek.com/pcmext.html
or http://www.kaitek.com/pcmpro.html
both look like they would do the job of getting you physical access to the connectors, although there only was a picture for the extender, so I can't say for sure if the prototype board would physically fit.
The Springboard physical interface is the same as PCMCIA. However, they don't use the PCMCIA spec, so don't go astray into PCMCIA land.
This advice is offered w/out any promise of success, and all risks are assumed by curious circuit-probers. Not me.
For those of a software-only bent, Handspring suggests using an 8meg module for development. No pinouts there, though.
Good luck.
