Question E-Chat, anyone use one of these?

While perusing around Target I noticed this "toy" called a E-Chat. I call it a "toy" since it looked to be marketed to kids. It was a little handheld wireless messenger that used a touch keyboard to compose messages. It only had a range listing of about 100 feet or so, but for what I was thinking of using them for it would be fine. Has anyone ever used on of these? I am wondering how easy it is to compose messages and can a messages be drafted without being sent?

I was thinking of using these for a role-playing group. I could use them to deliver information to one or a few of the players. Players could also send questions without the entire group hearing. It would be cheaper than everyone getting a wireless interface since they only cost around $20 and don't have to already have a handheld.

Thanks,

Visigoth
