I just found the kodak site showing examples of pictures taken with the KodakPix camera for the palm. There have been rumours about a Kodak springboard.

Check out the quality of the pics here: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/digital/...Pix/index.jhtml

Thumbs up

I hope Kodak introduces a SpringBoard camera too. The eyemodule leaves much to be desired picture quality wise.

I heard rumors, but since my contact said "by christmas", they seem to have run behind or something.

The rumors sure are flying The quality of the Kodak palmpix is impressive... I'd trade up from the Eyemodule I just bought this last weekend in a second - I love the Eyemodule, I've taken to bringing it with me every time I go out/walk the dog and it makes some interesting little snapshots... the lens has in interesting vignette effect that's not unlike a Holga, and overall the resulting pictures remind me of old photos you would expect to find in a shoebox (weird exposures and occaisional color balance problems. etc). But megapixel or even 640x480 with variable focus would be a wonderful thing.

It would seem that Kodak is going to miss this year's holiday rush if they are actually working on a Springboard... but I'm glad they're playing it close to the vest if they are; better to have people clamoring for a product and become the hero when you produce it than to have people clamoring for the product you announced last year and become vilified when you don't deliver. (I'm not naming names here or anything. )
