-- Anyone make a keychain out of Backup Mod? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3013)
I wanted to make a keychain out of my backup module and I was wondering if anyone had done such a thing already. Basically, I want to know where it is safe to drill a hole.
Just open it up and see where the circuit boards arent... and drill there.
I made a keychain out of my Backup Module by drilling a hole 45 angle into the little lip that is at the top of the module (where the indent is for the thumb). It works great. I've used it a few times where I needed to restore my visor and I wasnt' around my cradle. Also, I can now carry my backup module and my visor with me at all times without keeping them in the exact same place.
The only drawback is now I have a $50 dollar key chain!!!

) things a Visor-ite is going to have with them are their Visor and keys (then again, the keys are optional

If you're looking for a perfect siezed case for standard modules, look no further than Gameboy cartridge cases...
This was suggested by someone months ago, and I've found that used game stores usually have a box of them kicking around behind the counter. They cost pennies, and are much safer to drill than the module itself. They also keep off dust and dirt.

...or you could do what I did and buy a beeper cover/key chain. The one I found is neoprene and made for a small Motorola beeper. It's stretchy so I can fit two modules in it, or one module and two spare AAAs. I found it in the bargain bin at OfficeMax for something like 4 bucks.
