May sound like a stupid question, but my wife and I want to share a single cradle to sync the Visors we anticipate purchasing. Have heard some of the new visors have a different shape and what not. Prior to purchasing them we want to make sure they will work.

As the Platinum is the same size as the Solo/Deluxe it should work. The Prism cradle is larger and I heard S/D will fit in it but the Prism will not fit in the S/D cradle.

The cradle for the the Platinum is the same one used for the original Visor/Visor Deluxe.

This from Handspring's FAQs for the Platinum:

"Q. Can I synchronize Visor Platinum using a Visor or Visor Deluxe cradle?
A. Yes, Visor Platinum uses the same cradle as Visor and Visor Deluxe."

On the other hand, a Prism will not fit or sync in a VDx cradle. However, I do hotsync my wife's BVDx in my new Prism cradle.

Just prought my Platinum to life out of my BVDX cradle....couldn't wait

Seems to work as advertised...just took a REAL long time since it was starting from the bottom.

BTW...THANKS HANDSPRING for including how to move from VDX to Platinum instructions on the website. Just noticed it this morning.

I've found that while it is possible to sync a Visor Deluxe in a Visor Prism cradle, you may need to hold it down to keep the connection (since the Prism doesn't use the little latch on the back the way the Deluxe does, and the unit sometimes pops up off the connector)
