I tried setting up my handheld and computer for modem hotsync yesterday (i'm going away for a week and thought it would be worth the effort). Everything is set up the way it's explained in the manual, however when i dial in I hear the modem on the desktop computer activate, but it doesn't answer the phone and I end up in my voice mail.

I can't change the number of rings for my voice mail to activate at work. I looked for a place to set the number of rings for the modem to pick up (i'd like to change it to instantly) but can't seem to find anything.

Has anybody successfully set up a modem hotsync? See anything i may be missing?

You probably need to alter your desktop modem's configuration initialization command string. This should be covered in your modem's documentation. Look for something like AT S0=1
