Angry

I believe Handspring has just missed an opportunity. I asked about the possibility of an upgrade path, tading in your VDx for a more powerful model.

Many companies are doing it, such as AT&T wireless, etc.

Here's is Handspring's response:

"Thank you for your email. We are not implementing a trade-in/upgrade program. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have further questions, please reply to this email.

Thank you,
Handspring CustomerCare"

BAD IDEA! Don't look for me to invest a lot of new money in Handspring any time soon.

Question

Why would anyone want a trade-in program to begin with? Do you really think you'd get that much more in a trade in than you would selling it on ebay? Why would Handspring take a chance getting hundreds or thousands of visors back (some in pretty lousy condition to be sure) just to sell a new product at a discounted price? I really wish people would think before they fumed because so-and-so wouldn't bend over and take it up the a$$ for them.

It's called customer loyalty, brainiac.

I'm not fuming, I'm looking for a company to show some support, even if it's a minor discount, to customers who have already invested hundreds of dollars.

But if you don't get that, you just don't get it.
