Question

I just bought a Visor Prism and Targus Stowaway keyboard. I installed the keyboard driver, but the keyboard doesn't work. I also have the TRGpro and PPK so I know how it is SUPPOSED to work. Anyone using the Prism with Targus Stowaway keyboard? What driver version do you use? The updated driver at Targus website is Windows only so I can't use it on my Mac! GGGGRRRRRRGGGHHH!

Any suggestions or input?

Thanks.

Josh

make sure beam receive is on on the stowaway, also try connecting the prism when it is off, then turning it on after it is all set...

Those two things usually fix most problems I've had

Check out this thread. Others have been able to use the Stowaway with the Prism.

And remember - the keyboard driver for the Palms DO NOT work with the Visors - you HAVE to use the specific driver for Visors. If you beamed the driver for the TRGPro/Palm to your Visor, you have to delete it first and install the correct driver.

Get the latest driver here=>

You can get the latest driver - a .prc file from the Thinkoutside site. Just save the file onto your mac and use the HotSync installer. Works great on the PRISM.

Cycle the power after you connect the keyboard to the Prism. I found that gets things started between the two.

When nothing else works, delete the driver from your Visor and reinstall it. That usually works for me.

And they'll e-mail the Mac version to you; they e-mailed it to me. I don't know why they never fixed the Mac version on the website.

Thumbs up Stowaway and PRISM

Make sure you get the latest driver for the stowaway from their web site as the one with the keyboard has a slow response from the time you hit the key till it shows up on the screen.

Only complaint is that its a bit difficult to snap it on the keyboard. The GoType with my Palm Pro was a quick procedure to place it on. I really take care when putting my Prism on the keyboard, but tend to leave it on there all day at the office as it provides a stand.
