Question What to do?

I was all ready to jump on the Innopocket CF true Springboard announced today, but with the great out-of-the-box functionality of the MemPlug, I may wait for their offering. I think if enough of us check off SD/MMC on the poll PI recently sent out, we may also get an SD/MMC Springboard so we can play nice with the Palm 50x crowd.

I'll sure "play nice" w/Claudia Schiffer, that's for sure ... uh, she IS upgrading, isn't she?
Because, if she's not -- boot -- right out of my bed, do you hear me?

Yay! Competition is a good thing! If they reduce prices just a smudge I would consider this definitely!

It's an ad I don't really mind. As long as it isn't spam I really don't mind in fact. I suppose everyone has a different opinion though.

Since all application is re-use the Memplug - SmartMedia card solution. Those application is already fully test and function well on the market.

We want to cover more bandname and size of CF Card. And so without CF card will hurt this time. Just fill in those information we needed. And our support guys will choose the most suitable candiates for the test.

Thanks for your support.

Patrick,
Sounds like a great product! Will it support CompactFlash Type II cards in addition to CompactFlash I cards?

Thanks

Unfortunately, no CF type II support. So PI Technology has, for now, left open an ever so small niche (CF MicroDrives) for Kopsis driver-based memory solutions to have to themselves.

Well, PiDirect is still in its internal beta.
It will be available for public evaluation on June.

PiDirect, like its name is directly execute readonly program and database on the card like AutoCF.
Instead of copying the whole database to RAM, it just keep those header information in your memory.

We are able to view a 11 MB Tombraider Doc. without any problem. And we can also enjoy TealMovie on the SmartMedia.

PiDeveloper, please put us Palm OS 3.1 MemPlug owners out of our misery and tell us whether PiDirect will work on our Visors and Visor Deluxes. We won't hold it against you.

Well,
Due to the limitation (and bugs ) of PalmOS3.1, PiDirect may not be able to run on PalmOS3.1 at the first release.

PI is really care about their customers. That's why we put our full force to develop PiDirect.

We are trying our best to investigate how to get around it... I can't promise anything right now.
But we would try our best.

MemPlug is a great product even without PiDirect and I appreciate your continuing efforts to improve the MemPlug experience. Thank you for your honesty.

Are you planning on having PiDirect support for the CF module?

Since Memplug and Memplug-CF share the same File System library,
If application can run on Memplug, it can run on Memplug-CF.

The same apply to any 3rd party application that support memplug.
