Okay, the kid's questions are anwswered. Ryvitek is still scared. Everybody got what they wanted. We should stop this right now before we have to bother James with locking the thread. Comeone Folks! We're all Visor users, regardless of age or personal views!

Ryvitek's just mad at gremlin16 because he was poor white trash, grew up in a trailer park, and had a big wooden spoon shoved up his A$$. Those splinters must hurt... sucks to be you Ryvitek.

By the way:
My parents bought me a lot of computer gear when I was young. Learned to program basic on my C64 at 5 years old. Now thanks to them I'm a computer genius and I make a whole pile of money. Does that make me spoiled? No. It just means that my parents were smart, not poor inbred possum eating trailer trash like Ryviteks ma and pa.

First off, you don't have to eat off a silver spoon to get a visor (try saving money after working on a JOB!! Ooooh! What a concept!) Mine was a Christmas present, but I've been saving my money for years too (and I could have bought one after working for a week here at my Temp summer job, even working for $5/hr, you could save enough to get one after working for 60 hours (after taxes of course! )

Also, regarding the original question, I'd say wait until around Christmas time before getting a PDA. I have a hunch that Handspring's next visor will be comming out around then (probably a Palm V competitor!) I know it's going to be more expensive than the current visor, but it may be nice to wait and see what it is so you aren't hitting yourself for not waiting a few months.

Hope this helps!

The Visor is a fairly economical PDA, working for a phone survey company my 16 year old friend makes $200 a week. When you consider a 16 year old doesn't really have to pay rent or food (Well, some) and only has to worry about car insurance its fairly easy to save up money to get a Visor.

I personally believe I'll be getting a new PDA about every year, thats just how technology goes. This Christmas Handspring will have something new, most likely a new high end product, and something to compete with Palm's new $150 unit with 4mb of ram.

In my opinion if you have enough money to buy a Visor now, then you'll have enough in two years to buy one for College.
