They said it was likely it would be new, since my unit was originally ordered from them, and only very recently. But here's what I'd like to know from those of you who have had units replaced by Handspring:
1. When (MM/YY) did you have your unit replaced?
07/00
2. How old was your unit when it was replaced?
About 2 weeks
3. What was the nature of the damage (your error/technical malfunction/physical damage in shipping or afterwards)?
It had the DRAM bug and I wanted a non-buggy unit, rather than using the patch.
4. Was your original purchase from Handspring or a retailer?
My original purchase was from a retailer - Best Buy.
5. Was your replacement new, a refurb, or can't you tell?
I'm pretty sure it's new. It didn't have any physical defects or blemishes that I could see.
