The main thing I am looking to buy in the future is a Thinmodem or Thinmodem plus, providing the price is right (if anyne has one to sell, or has an Office Depot around with a few left!)

The current 'Module Madness' pricing on the chess module looks interesting, and there are a few modules that have been on my wish list for some time, but are prohibitive- like the presenter to go that I would only use a few times a year.

Thumbs down No

I voted no for all the reasons mentioned in the following thread:

http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...;threadid=22011

My springboard modules have become the shackles that bind me to HandSpring. I would switch from my Prism to another color PDA if it were not for all the SB functionality that I would have to replace. I don't need anymore SB ball-and-chains. And from my list of SB modules in that previous thread, I think I have done enough already to boost the SB market.

Exclamation SB vs Standard PCMCIA devices

I asked the same question as HindeR in a thread I started several months ago comparing iPAQ to Handspring or PalmOS PDAs. My main debate was whether to continue with Visors and SBs or move on to a PDA that could use my existing PCMCIA notebook devices of which I have WLAN, Ethernet, modems, SCSI and CF Adapter.

Once the life of the Handspring is up, one must break the ball and chains HindeR speaks of and hit eBay or bite the expenses of the past. With the WinCE PDAs, you may only be out a sleeve or adapter but can still use most of the devices on a notebook.

That said, I must confess I just scored a friends Prism and a bunch of modules from Office Depot in the last month. My VDx & VPR fix is not over yet and I still find them useful on a daily basis.
