I was running DSHack 2.1.2 and my Prism did not update. No idea why - I knew 2.1.1 wouldn't work (in fact, it was making my Prism crash - some problem with OS 3.5.2H) but I thought 2.1.2 would work. I'll update to 2.1.3 . . . and report back in six and a half months.

Tom LaPrise - thought you might be interested to know that JFK's original "why the moon" speech was given at Rice University in Texas, and went like this:

"And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, thirty five years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas?"

I've never seen it on video, but I'm guessing the response was pretty enthusiastic.

DSHack 2.1.3 did the job on my VDX.

Actually, it turns out that I WAS using DSHack 2.1.3. For some reason, when you check out the version using Palm's Apps-Info feature, and click on version, DSHack lists as 2.1.2. But when I check out the hack itself through Hackmaster, it lists as 2.1.3.

Did anyone get DSHack to work with OS 3.5.2H (prisms and, I think, Platinums)? I notice that the web site says it has recently been updated for Palm OS 3.3, but says nothing about 3.5. Hmmmmm . . . .

I use DST Pannel on my Prism, and it worked like it was supposed to, so check it out (although you'll have to wait six months to see if it works ). It doesn't even require Hackmaster.

However, I had another ironic odd little snafu. My Prism reset itself on Sunday just fine, as did my desktop. I also use TimeSync, the BackupBuddy utility that sets your handheld system time to your desktop's time. Well, after I synced, I discovered that my Visor time was set *back* an hour to EST again! I pulled my hair out until I realized that there's a little "Adjust for DST" check box in TimeSync. I checked it, and all was fine. Now I wonder why that little box is necessary, since the time is the time, whether it's DST or not. It sort of defeats the purpose of having everything switch automatically. Sigh.

Olivier, do you know why TimeSync would have to adjust for DST? It seem to me that if the desktop says, say, 10am, then it should set the Visor to 10am, regardless of any EST/DST settings on either machine. For this purpose, the time is the time, EST/DST should be irrelevant. I really don't understand the logic of this little glitch, and was hoping someone could explain it to me. Just kind of baffled.
