it's not accepting the order, it's shipping it! I assure we are working on our international solution. We are learning a lot as we go. the Import/export thing is getting expensive. we want to make sure to offer our products at comparable prices overseas. Expect changes regaurding these methods soon.

Hmmm - shipping should not be that expensive. I receive a lot of packages from the U.S. and prices are okay when taking the normal US Postal Service. Packages usually take 5-7 business days.
Import/Export - well, tax is on the receiver and the german customs will not charge tax till the declared value of a whole package is under 25 US$ (shipping included). HINT
And a declared commercial sample is always free for customs.

Don't worry about comparable prices - there are no comparable products around here. Germany is always a bit behind concerning PDA products - for example we only have 4 Springboard modules available here.

And just charge credit cards - they are very common here too.

So you are working on it - that is very good. When I can be of any help to you do not hesitate to contact me!

Take care
Chris

The Tactilis FlipClip has made my Visor even more useful than before by making it more available to me when I need it. No longer is checking my appointments or address book a three handed operation where I try to balance the Visor, its stock clip-on lid, and my stylus. Now it's as simple as a single flip of the lid and you are ready to go. I can see a time soon where having the FlipClip and the companion FlipLid will ensure that I carry my Visor around with me everywhere I go and make it as essential in my daily life as my wristwatch.

My only request is to incorporate a sensor that would have the Visor make that funky Star Trek communicator sound when you open the lid.

Oh please God don't let it make that sound.

I just got mine yesterday and it is a major improvement over the clip-on stock lid. The Palm III cover doesn't fit all that well, but it'll tide me over till I'm able to order the custom-made Visor cover.

The only suggestion I have for the Visor line of FlipLids is to make the area that covers the screen perfectly clear. This would make it easier to see alarms and such. The frosted area on the current ones are a bummer.

The Flip-Lid is supposed to have a "Read-through" clear window design.

Wink New Lid

Dear PDAENVY,
I wish I could tell you it's just a few days away, but I believe people like yourself deserve the best! We are still reworking the design and trying to put out a lid that is not only functional , but is pleaseing to the eye as well as the pocketbook. At the same time we are working on a whole new product, we believe will be as well received as was the Flip-Clip. So please be patient and remember "good things come to those that wait!"

Do people like the clear or black clip better for a Visor Prism? That's what's really holding me up, I like the idea of a clear clip but I don't know if it'd look right on a dark Visor.

I personally like the clear clip on the prism alot. It blends into the color of the prism, and you really don't notice it much.

Dear Jim,

hey - wow this really sounds good and interesting! I love your flip clip you did a really good job on it and I am really looking forward to the clear lid! Keep us informed, when it will be available.
And I am also waiting for your "surprise".

Take care
Chris

Thumbs down sorry to be negative

I hate for my first post here to be a negative one, but I have had nothing but bad luck with my Tactilis flip clip. First, it came either molded improperly or bent, and it would never stay put on my Blue Visor Deluxe. Everytime I opened the lid it either slid off or out of place. I glued it down, and that worked fine for a little while. Then the bend was so big that it made the glue come off on one side. I didn't mind just throwing the clip away altogether, but the glue left ugly little marks and scratches on the top corners of my Visor. I decided to see if Tactilis would exchange my bent clear clip for a new black one in the hopes that it would fit better and hide the marks from the glue. I sent two emails about two weeks ago and haven't heard back from Tactilis. I gave up trying to get a new clip and got some stronger gel glue. It held the clip down flat for a few days and seemed to work fine. I was content, even with the nasty glue marks on my Visor showing through the clear clip. Then the Palm III lid started to crack from the pressure of being in my pocket and not fitting flush with my Visor. Plus, yet again, the bend in the clip was stronger than the glue. If I had been stacking books on the thing, I wouldn't feel so bad, but I can't imagine that the lid would be as flimsy as it is. One positive thing I will say is that if I could get a replacement black flip clip that worked, I wouldn't hesistate to buy the Tactilis lid when it comes out.

Back in town...

Well, I spent all last week in California meeting with the heavy hitters about the future of our products. (I'll let your mind wander on who that might be) Before leaving, I thought it would safe to take my "visor-modem-stowaway-multimail" combo to keep up with the rigors of maintain adequate customer service. Well as murphys law dictates, my visor crashed on day one ( I will refrain from comment on which module caused this! ) , leaving me with a week old backup on my backup module. Needless to say this left me with out my customer database, support e-mail, and a few other things I put on there just before the trip. So now I'm playing catch-up with the emails once again. So if you have sent emails, please bear in mind that I'm plowing through them (150+) and hope to answer them all before Friday.

(espectro: this means you too , ;') I'm sure your at the end of that pile but I'll get to you! It sounds like you need a whole new order. I'll get right on a replacement. expect to hear from me tomorrow. )

And for everyone else, my apologies for the delay. Good things will come of all of this!

P.S. Our new website and server is just days away from launch!
