This has been the traditional method of curing sync problems for some time now. Often a soft reset alone is enough. This message, btw, has not filtered through to all Techs. I finally hung up on one who was insisting that I follow her theory and install/reinstall Lotus Organizer, hunt on Lotus' web page, etc, when the problem was clearly a sync connectivity issue.
One problem though is that it doesn't always stay fixed.
It is nice to see that Handspring (in my recent experience) TS actually answers the phone in a few minutes now.
