Nope - I can't for the life of me figure out why it would want to All FlashAdapter modules expect expansion cards to have a standard MS-DOS compatible FAT12 or FAT16 format with no special "tricks". The FA software does attempt a non-destructive write to the last sector on the CF card so it can detect write protected SD cards and MemorySticks. Becaus of that, if the card has been formatted in some weird, non-standard compliant way, then the FA software is likely to conclude that the card is read-only. But cards formatted in digital cameras, MP3 players, and PCs can be used in FlashAdapter modules without modification.
