Most of the Graffiti characters correspond to symmetrical rotations or flips of eight basic strokes. Even though these strokes might not look -quite- like the corresponding letter, they are recognized 99.99% of the time.
The strokes and the letters/other_things they produce are listed below.
The names of the strokes are intended to help remember them. The complexity of the strokes increases downwards, with loops considered more complex than open strokes.
