Just so you know:
The 'Visor' ($50-$75)is discontinued and can no longer be found at ANY retail store. Your only bet is off the internet, usually used. This is not a good deal.
The 'Visor Deluxe' ($100)is discontinued, but you can find it at some retail stores (usually packaged together with a wireless internet module, try CompUSA). This is still a great PDA, and if you want one with a blue case, you can order a factory refurbished (used, sent back, defects fixed) one for $99 at www.handspring.com
The Visor Deluxe is your best deal, probably. If you want to do more with your PDA than a datebook and score keeper, try the
'Visor Neo' ($169)- the same thing as the deluxe, but with a slightly better screen, newer operating system, and shinier case, or the 'Visor Edge' ($199)- the extremely thin version of the Neo.
If you want a color screen, I suggest going with the 'Palm m130' ($279). If you purchase this from www.palm.com, you get some nice software and games included on a memory card for free (the graduation special)
If you are a gadget geek, and want the best possible, go for the Sony T615 ($379) (twice the resolution for pictures, etc.) or the Sony NR70 ($499) or the Sony NR70v ($599, built-in digital camera). The NR series can only be pre-ordered right now, and should be in stores soon. They also have a better resolution than the T615, the ultimite for picture taking.
All of these devices have Palm OS, and are compatible with almost every 'Palm OS' program
