Go with the one that will survive a major earthquake

Otterbox 2000! Nothing else. Crashproof, waterproof, big, bulky, ugly and cheap. But it is one tough m~f~ of a case.

Devian case works for me

I have tried a few belt-clip type cases -and broke all of the belt clips. They always pop off.
Now I'm using a Devian clip-case. (~$30) I found it at palmgear.com. For some reason Palmgear shows it as an accessory for the Palm III. It's not in the Visor accessories section.
It works great for me.
Unlike most belt-clip PDA holders, this case is oriented horizontally. Why hasn't anyone else figured this out? It makes it much easier to drive with it still on your belt.
It's also easier to slip the Visor out.
Although the clip is seems very secure, you can also feed your belt through a wide slot in the back. This baby will never fall off!
It's got a useful (although thin) pocket for business cards too.

Check out the FlipOut

Here's an interesting special use case, the FlipOut. It allows one to use the Visor in the belt case while it is still attached to one's belt. Useful for people working in inventory and the like.

I have an Eagle Creek Sidekick, which has one pocket that's perfect for the Visor, full wallet with several pockets for credit cards and money, a front open pocket and a back zippered pocket that's big enough for a paperback.

For meetings at work, I carry the Visor in a small ethnic purse, black with ethnic embroidery around the edges and a shoulder strap that hangs to about hip height. The Visor fits in it sideways.

I also tried a small padded fabric case with an open top and a freely rotating plastic belt clip from InnoGear (a freebie at MacWorld), but I don't always have belt loops, and the ethnic purse calls much less attention where I work.

I've bought a leather belt clip case for Palm III - works great, has a sturdy metal clip, a possibility to slide your belt through and the leather quality is excellent. It uses velcro stick at the top. Overall a great case (I think it would even accomodate Prism). Since I carry my cell phone in a small belt clip case on my other hip, some people say I look like a gunslinger, but I like the image :-).

Pants Pocket

I use the hard clip on case that came with my visor, and simply slip it into my front pant pocket. It works just fine unless you are the tight wrangler jean type. :-)

I purchased a wallet type case, but found it made my visor way too bulky.

I use a cheap Sumdex Leather Wallet (used to be $6 at Amazon.com; not it's $15). I usually carry it in the outer pocket of the backpack, or in the inside pocket of my jacket.

I like my Sumdex Leather Wallet because it has a zipper closure plus elastic band for the spare batteries.

on my belt

I'm very absent-minded. (BTW, I saw another forum thread title questioning the reality of ADHD. It's real. I know. I have it, so do my kids and my nephew.) I keep my keys looped to my belt with a leather snap-loop, a clip, and a small carabiner. That's on the right; on the left, I run the belt through my Swiss Army knife case and my Visor case.

I picked the case up at CompUSA; I think it's made by Franklin Covey, for it has what looks like their symbol embossed on it. It has a tough clip and a belt-mount loop (I use the loop because it can't slip off) and a Velcro flap.

Being a student I normally carry my Edge either in a cargo pocket, front pants pocket or in my backpack. I prefer to carry it in a pocket because it is easier to retrieve when I need it. I have been considering getting the Rhinoskin slider case, but then once the keyboard is released for the edge, I will have to get a new case so I have decided to wait.

I carry my VPL in its original case, and all of my accessories (Stowaway keyboard, Global56 modem, eyemodule camera, and retractable telephone line cord) in an old NEC laptop disk drive case just large enough to old all these goodies tight and protected.

I stopped carrying my Platinum this summer. Boy was that a load off my chest, literally! I'll carry it again when school starts up, but I'm seriously rethinking the shirt pocket as a place for it.

Those of you that own an edge... is it noticably lighter than the regular visors?

I'm thinking of making my own leather slipcase, adding a snap-to-close flap, and D-rings for hooking a neck strap to. Then again, I may just add a visor pocket to my tie. I have to wear a tie around my neck already, so this might be something practical to use it for.
Alternatively, I could sew a clip onto the back of my tie that would clip onto the D-ring of my visor slipcase. There's a natural depression above my belly and below my chest where the visor should ride comfortable. Hmmm.....

Then today I saw a girl wearing her cell phone in a holster strapped to her thigh. Hmmm....

Thinking of holsters, perhaps a visor holster that puts the visor in your arm pit like a gun. I've got some room in there. ;-)
