(I posted this in another thread but I think its even more relevant in this one!)
from CNET's news.com:

quote: "To date, Handspring's monochrome Treo 180 and color Treo 270 have shown anemic sales," Bear Stearns analyst Andrew Neff wrote in a research note in late August. This month he noted that sales of the new Treo 300, which runs on Sprint's network, seem to be headed down the same road.
They also add..
quote: "It's not so much that they don't produce good products because they do," Coster said. However, he said such devices remain pricey and many consumers are waiting for such combination devices to get cheaper.
I think that says it all..
Just a matter of time before they start to circle the drain for their mistakes...
Personally I will never buy a Treo type device for reasons others mentioned above (unless they were giving them away for next to nothing {give them time , remember the visor phone}, or it didn't cost anymore than my regular cell phone to use/operate, or if I could expense the whole cost of it and/or use to my company (not possible now or in the near future) ,
However, I would really like to see a PDA has 820.11 and/or Bluetooth built in.. Now that would be useful.
