I think the first poster here makes some very good points. There's no question that this is a very cool product, but other questions abound. Don't you think we should be able to access a detailed data sheet (pdf?) at the Handspring site? Right now, we're all hunting around through various online news stories for bits of information (some of which seems to be contradictory), as well as quizzing the Handspring telephone folks (with varying degrees of success).
Yes, we are obviously very early in the process. But we should at least have (i) an authoritative, complete data sheet available at the company site; and (ii) a reasonable degree of comfort with the ordering process. The developer information is great, but I want to buy one, not build one. When the G4 debuted at the Apple site, there was truly detailed information available immediately, and the people at the Apple Store toll-free number were thoroughly prepared to answer any other questions. I think that's a good standard to aspire to...particularly when you're asking people to buy a new product sight unseen.
