Has the new os update caused your v to enter a reset loop?

It did it to me until I removed the palmos 3.11 update. That did the trick! Nothing else could have caused the loop since I don't run any os hacks.

Same here!

Until I did a "warm" reset, and deleted the OS patch, my Visor went into an endless reset loop, everytime I HotSynced. Anyone else? James, any info?

Thumbs down

Same here...and I don't run any hacks. OS got caught in an endless loop, I had to hard reset and reinstall. I don't have the bad DRAM problem, so I won't be attempting the patch again!

Thanks for nothing, Handspring!

Question

I am experiencing a variation of the same problem. For no apparent reason, my VDX will not power up. When I attempt a soft reset to fix the problem I get caught in an infinite reset loop for which the only fix is to perform a hard reset and restore all of my data with Backup Buddy (thank God for that program). This has happened to me twice now since I installed the update patch. However, my VDX does have the bad DRAM issue, so where does that leave me?

I'm having the same problem -- hard reset led to a Visor that won't turn on at all. Frustrating!

I called the hotline and they told me to remove the batteries for a few hours and then if it still doesn't work, to call Customer Svc and get a replacement.

I hope I don't need to replace it -- if I do, it will be my THIRD Visor. That would be enough to drive me to Palm, except that I've already invested in several modules and a Stowaway.

I do like my Visor, though.
