Talking Color Combinations

What color combinations do you guys think would go well together besides the obvious. I was thinking the ashen graphite color would look spiffy on my blue VDx. I wonder if I order now I'll get it before next Friday...

Great product Tactilis!

Answer No. 1:
Yes the flip lid (and the Palm III lids we sell) will remain open as you type on a stowaway keyboard.

Answer No. 2:
The differences between the current palm III lid and the Flip-Lid.
the palm lid protects the screen and buttons with a bowing of the lid. our lid will fit flat and have a "pocket" for the buttons so the final product will have a flatter profile and tighter fit. We are also engineering a read-through capability with the lid closed. good for when alarms and such pop up and it only takes a glance. Our lid will not cover the microphone or the power buttons on any visor, and the lid will fit exactly to the visor in the dock or out. some of the styling will be different as well (ribbing on the side to match the visor)
and colors should be exact matches. there is more but I'll save that info for the release. watch the website for drawings soon.

Answer No. 3:
Shipping. we are scheduled to begin shipping on the 18th (Monday) UPS Ground which normally is 3 days tops

Answer No. 4:
Color Combinations. This will be fun when its up. we are building a product selector that will allow you to explore ALL of those combos. expect to see that up in the next week.

Sastian

I didn't want to e-mail you directly with this so I'll post it here. I am thinking of getting the Flip Clip for my BVDx. I think the graphite (the one for the Platinum) would look good on it. However, seeing something online is often different than in person. Do you think that graphite cover and a BVDx would look nice? I ask because I'm thinking of buying one this weekend to hopefully get before Christmas (I live in Indiana, so shipping shouldn't be a problem..).

Thanks Very Much!

Vin, not answering for Sastian but I ordered the translucent graphite Palm III lid and I think it's going to look awesome on the Black VDX. And if Sastian Group (Father and Son... that's great) manufacture a similar traslucent graphite flip lid SPECIFICALLY for the Visor will be just an incredible option. I'll be first in line.

Talking Just ordered mine!

I just got a Blue Combo pack. Order page had me worried though. It sat there and did nothing after I clicked submit order, it eventually just hung. I was getting ready to resubmit it, but Outlook told me I had new mail--it was my order confirmation. Phew! Hopefully nothing awry happened to the CC, I'll have to check the statement when I'm done. Hopefully I'll have this by Christmas!

Question Are Flip-Clips shipping?

Sastian,

Have you started shipping yet? I thought it was suppsed to begin yesterday. Hopefully there's no snow-related delay. I have many co-wokers who may order Flip-Clip after looking at mine in person. Thanks

The weather here in the Midwest (Tactilis is located in Illinois--I'm in Indiana) has been pretty nasty lately. Schools are delayed and mine is even cancelled today. So if something has happened weather related, be assured it is a certainly valid reason. I do hope you were able to ship them though .

Taki: I haven't recieved shipping confirm/tracking number yet either. So we'll have to see.

Hi Vinny,

Lucky you! Enjoy your day-off. I'm on the other side of Illinois(Iowa). It's not snowing today though a lots of snow on the ground. I just hope I get flip-clip before next week. Sastian is not posting reply...hopefully it's because he is busy shipping...

Smile No shipping confirmation

I just read this update at http://www.tactilis.com:

Wednesday, December 20, 2000 posted 12/20/2000 01:02:36 PM

We're shipping!
If you happen to be one of those early adopters, or are fond enough of one to rush right in to get your Flip-Clip, you should receive your package in time to gift-wrap it. Any order placed before the 19th of December has been shipped. If you have been looking for an UPS tracking number in your email, we haven't set up that procedure yet. We are still developing our shipping model, but it IS our intention to include them in the future. Happy Holidays!

I can't wait to receive mine.

Sastian,
The flip-clips and lids look great. I have a question and may be someone has asked it before:
Does the flip-lid also need the flip-clip to function or is it an independent lid that works without the flip-clip?

Thanks.
VH

Wink

The Flip-Lid will use the Flip-Clip to attach to the Visor.

Exclamation I got mine!

Hey everyone, got my Flip Clip and blue lid today. I reviewed it on another thread, including pictures. I'm pretty happy with it! Unfortunately I have to go wrap it and am not able to play with it too much until the 25th .

Ordered mine December 8th but I don't have it yet... Hope I get it early tomorrow before I go out of town or I will never see it. I am sure it will be stolen by the time I get back!
