As some one who has used both, I'd try for the Prism. I own a VDX, and have an iPAQ that I have been testing/evaluating for my company. While the iPAQ does have some nice features, and a beautiful color screen, I find my VDX more useful/usable. The iPAQ crashes more often, is heavier and bulkier (when accounting for the CF sleeve), is slower (takes longer to do things) and doesn't really do anything that you couldn't do with a Prism. Now I admit, that out of the box, it does come with more features, but the expandibility of the Visor, without sacrificing form factor, runs circles around iPAQ. There is also a greater selection, and a less expensive selection, of programs for the Palm OS platform. As a person who supports PDAs, I also have seen far less troubles with synching with Palm OS PDAs than I have with Pocket PC PDAs. While the iPAQ has a lot of eye candy and gizzy features, and is the best example of a Pocket PC I have seen to date, when I want to get stuff done, I go back to my VDX everytime.
