Smile prism cradle/ prism II?

I am thinking about upgrading my Platinum to a prism. Is it possible to hot sync a prism in a non-prism cradle (i.e. my platinum cradle). Also any rumors about a release of a new prism (prism II)?

The Prism is thicker than the Platinum and will not fit in the
Platinum cradle unless you jam it down and hold it there during
the hotsync. Also, the Platinum cradle will not charge the Prism.

But fear nothing! Just hotsync your old one, plug the new one, and everything will be moved into the new device on the first hotsync!

Talking

I'm assuming that you do have a cradle for your prism. If so, then there is no need to try and put your prism in the platinum's cradle. Just hotsync the platinum in it's cradle ...... unplug the platinum's cradle..... then plug up the prism's cradle and hotsync......all of the data that was on your platinum should now be hotsynced to your prism. I did this when I upgraded from my Visor Deluxe to my Visor Prism....

Do you unplug the power cable when you do this? Otherwise I would think you are asking for some kind of trouble for the Deluxe...

You don't need to unplug the power cable. The Plat's batteries
are not rechargeable and the VDOCK pin does not go to the
batteries. It can be used to charge a rechargeable springboard
module thru the Deluxe, Platinum, Solo, and Neo as well as all
of the rechargeable Visors. Just plug in your Prism cradle and
sync your Platinum, then change the conduit settings to Desktop
overwrites handheld and then sync the Prism. You'll be all set.
