Wink My experience

Hi Brian!
I made several experiments to connect Visor to Nokia phones. Due to N51XX & N61XX phones have no built-in modems you have to use modem simulation SW (I used TDK Global Pulse downloaded from TDK site). In addition to I made serial cable to connect mobile to Visor (schematic is extremely simple: Visor's Tx pin to Nokia's Rx pin and vise versa). The only problem for me was absence of Visor's native connector. I made my own but it was unreliable. As temporary solution I used free serial pins of standard USB cradle. After that I was able to browse internet, receive and send SMS etc. One thing - after TDK Global Pulse installed and activated I was unable to turn it off (( It blocked built-in IR port so I couldn't use such applications like Omni Remote... After all I remove Global Pulse ))
IMHO it's much easier to use phones like N7110 which have built-in modem and right version of IR. Although usinng Visor's phonebook with wire connection and hands-free is convenient ))
If any further questions - please don't hesitate to ask.
Best regards,
Dmitri.
