Was it you who mentioned it? I really don't remember at this point. Regardless, I did notice people misreading intentions before somebody pointed it out. Until it was pointed out, though, I never connected the two. Cajun is a anglicized version of Acadien (you'd have to hear it pronounced to understand). In some ways, it's both an ethnicity _and_ a way of life (well, more an outlook on life, but that would get a bit involved, so I won't go into it). It's primarily an ethnicity, though (like being Italian, Irish, whatever). Basically, the Acadians were from a certain region in France and settled one of the early French colonies in the 'New World' back in the early 1600s. There's a decent chunk of info here.
