Beltability: the ability to carry ones Visor on their belt! (must've been the end of a looong day )

From day one, I've preferred to use some sort of belt case. Especially at work, I won't carry the Visor in my pocket and certainly don't want to leave it on my desk (which I'm never at).

Cool reply to both.

request to be beta tester:
Currently we have 10 winners of a sweepstakes that are way overdue on receiving their prize. We have been planning on getting their response for our customer feedback quotes. (those are the first to be mailed, sorry to all the winners for the delay. Expect a package soon!) But in the future I will keep you in mind for our other products.

about the beltability question:
I haven't seen any detail on the sport case and wasn't aware of the belt clip. so i heard handspring case & beltability and had no idea.. ;') Oh and Mark, shoot me an email with your phone # and we'll talk about that reveiw.

Check out the Sport Case. It's got a belt loop, not a clip... actually pretty nice. I've also got some pictures of it here.

The only drawback I have with the case is its limited screen protection (not to mention no room for over-sized modules)... something I think your Flip-Lid (that is the name, isn't it?) will provide.

Hi sastian,

Count me in on getting one for my Prism as soon as you go live!!

Don't understand how Handspring missed the boat on this. Any ideas?

BTW, thanks for all of the information and pictures.

Is your web site working? All I get is the first page.

Thanks,

rick

Yes It's working

It's kinda like one of those false walls on a new store in the mall. Just imagine the muffled sound of drills, saws and hammers on the other side ;')

If the lids are colored to match the units, it makes me wonder how much harder it would be to recast the rear shells of the Vdx's to match? I know I'd gladly pay $30 or so for a Flip Lid and a matching rear case for my green Vdx! Imagine an all color unit!

Heck, even go as far as making colored cases for the Prisms?

Just ideas to consider...

Thumbs up Definite sell

I just got done reading all the posts to this tread and I must say that I'm also in the "I'll be buying one" category. I do have two questions though.

The first is how well it will fit in the generic Visor leather case, the one that ships with the Visor Dx (I don't know if it ships with the standard Visor)?

The other more important question is how does it lock down? Does it clip down at the bottom or is there some mold design at the hinge which causes it to stay in the closed position until you apply enough force to open it?

Question Glue?

The flip cover looks great, and it's something that I would love to have on my visor. But looking at the pictures, one thing kinda nagged at me.

Is the little piece actually glued onto the visor? I'm frankly a little nervous about attaching anything that way, since it might be difficult to remove if for some strange reason I ever change my mind and decide I don't like it.

Is there a less permanent way to attach something like this without having to worry about how secure it is?

Wink No Glue! (heh)

No the part doesn't glue onto the Visor. It holds itself on there. Youll have to see it i guess. but i repeat, no glue (unless you want to glue it. ;') )

and to answer the post before yours...

Yes ,it will fit in the black clase that ships with the VDX.

and

Yes, there is both enough friction and a hinge bump that holds the lid closed.

Thumbs up

Count me in as one of the first to buy one as soon as your site is live.

Any timetable for that? Will you be shipping by this Christmas time?

Keep up the good work. Happy holidays to all...

Well I'm launching the site tonight. I plan on traveling this weekend, but I'm trying to get something up to take orders before I leave. Take a stroll through and let me know what you think.
