A few common points are to the stories I have heard are: that the delay is from Novatell and that I should receive mine on Tuesday (I'll believe it when I see it..) I'll just keep calling them every day anyway.. I can understand about it being the holidays and all, but if I just got and honest answer upfront initially, I would feel allot better.. (I hate whining). If when I ordered it on 12/21 they said I wouldn't get it till 1/2/2001 I would be ok with that..
So far they seem nice enough on the phone.. I hope all of this is not a bad sign..

I ordered mine on the 22nd of November. I receieved it on the 4th of December, after being told it'd be in my hands withing 5 days. Expect no less from them. They have billing and customer support in two different, perhaps far-flung, locations. The modems come direct from Novatel. I doubt they have more than 4 Minstrels in the entire office.
There only seem to be four people that ever answer the phones, and they do double-duty fo0r both "customer service" and tech support. They're often pretty clueless regarding the operation of their own equipment on the Visor. Expect to have to do some coaching on occasion.
Also, take notice of the startup screen as it attempts to find the network. I was told by YY to toggle the "prefer A" choice, but noticed it never logged on using the A channel - only ever on B. After switching it to "prefer B" I log on to the network in less than 10 seconds.
I never received a bill of sale for the Minstrel, and as yet have received no bill for the service. Won't they be surprised when I switch bank accounts next month...
The service is occasionally spotty, and I've had to call in to have my IP address reset a few times - mostly after crossing the country for some reason. As long as it happens during normal business hours it's no problem.
Essentially, the service as a whole - CDPD and YY in particular - is unreliable and vexing. But if you gotta have it, and you have a VDX with it OS3.1, YY is the only game in town.
Rant done. Remember - Officially, Yadayada is still in Beta.
Download Blazer as soon as you're up and running. It's the best Web Browser out there.
